Logic Song / We Waited... Lyrics

i no longer
sit and wonder
i no longer
sit and cry
i no longer
need a father
i no longer
wonder why

i no longer
miss the water
i no longer
watch the sky
i just don't know
why you'd bother
i just cannot
rationalize

...

we waited for a sign
we waited for a sign
something to change our minds
we waited for a sign

no who's the bigger fool:
we who sit and drool
and wait for god to bring us food
or scavengers like you?

i couldn't answer that
with the logic that i had
so i just shrugged it off
and blamed the god of love

and waited for a sign
i waited for a sign
something to change my mind
i waited for a sign

we waited for a sign
we waited for a sign
something to change our mind
we waited for a sign

and we were cursed from the start
to having a heart
and not just a head

Cover art for Logic Song / We Waited... lyrics by Little Kid

Interesting lyrical content reflective of "Brave New World" where the pharaceutical companies nullify a nation, "we who sit and drool" with the drug Soma to accept complete government control. The drug was meant to surpress human emotions so that "we no longer miss the water, watch the sky, sit and wonder, sit and cry." And further supression of questioning the establishment, "why" + "rationalize." Also, "no longer need a father" indicates (possibly) that sex was for pure recreational purposes and not for procreation.

A faithless; godless people who are either scavengers or the elite using drugs to numb the human heart, eliminate love, and rid them of waiting for a "savior" who never comes.
