Wooly Wolly Gong Lyrics
Go to sleep, my baby
Keep those night thoughts away from your head
Let the clock give a tick, the dog give a lick
Your heart beats soundly on your dreamboat bed
Go to sleep, my baby
There is nothing the morning can't undo
I will watch and weep at your peacely sleep
And make sure the beddy-bugs don't get you
'Cause they'll try to arm you
That's what they do
How do you keep a bleeding heart wide open?
How do you stand directly where you're standing?
Keep your bleeding heart wide open
When you fall what happens when you're landing?
Go to sleep my baby
The world revolves around your tiny little skull
It will whirr and moan as you hum the drone
That a hurdy-gurdy plays to lift you out of the lull
Go to sleep my baby
Sleep deep now before the wooly wolly gong
For your sleep is guard 'gainst the cold and hard
A soft shroud of safety in a world gone wrong
'Cause they'll try to arm you
That's what they do
How do you keep a bleeding heart wide open?
How do you stand directly where you're standing?
Keep your bleeding heart wide open
When you fall what happens when you're landing?
Keep those night thoughts away from your head
Let the clock give a tick, the dog give a lick
Your heart beats soundly on your dreamboat bed
There is nothing the morning can't undo
I will watch and weep at your peacely sleep
And make sure the beddy-bugs don't get you

"arm you" <- beddy bugs try to arm you? ! ah, c'mon. "HARM" right? what, beddy bugs are giving you ak47s in the middle of the night?
I think its more I'll try to protect you from all these things and the bedbugs and such because one day you will be recruited and armed in "a world gone wrong". This band has a pretty strong favor against the war as most do at this point.

I have no idea why, but in a night full of listening to new music by a whole bunch of different bands, reading about it, trying to get into it...
This was the only song that stood out.
Something about it really affected me, for some reason.
@Aquarius121 Yeah! The first time my roommate and I heard it we sat in silence for at least 30 seconds. Then she goes "Did that hypnotize you? Make you really introspective?" "EEYUP"

WHAT IS THAT SOUND AT 3:30!!!!!?
I assumed a bong
it's creepy
it sounds like some draggy rattling.
It's almost disturbing without context :(
I think this song is meant to be sung for a little child as it goes to sleep. Very much like a nice lullaby.
Pretty sure this would give my children nightmares. so.
