Dagger, Dagger: Terror Terror Lyrics

Do you remember me
I am an injured soul
I measure anchors deep
I have no self-control
I section pieces off
of your most precious skin
and bury deep within.
I didn't say you could let go

terror terror on the wall
the mirror says to end it all
dagger dagger in my hand
I'm hesitant to heed command.

I wish I may
I wish I might,
not have to sleep alone tonight
will you take me over,
will you take me over.

I will eradicate all of your everythings
and send you quiet-like rowing gently down the stream

terror terror on the rise
a century of compromise
dagger dagger at my throat
the harshest word I ever spoke

I wish I may
I wish I might
not have to sleep alone tonight
will you take me over,
will you take me over

first star I see tonight,
I wish I may I wish I might, collapse, corrode, cave in, hold tight, I need you here, I need you here.

will you take me over
will you take me over
I'm terrified of what's inside
will you take me for a ride
will you take me over
will you take me over
I'm terrified of what's inside
will you take me for a ride.

No comments? Wow...

I find this song to be a sequel to "Do You Wanna Tangle?", mainly because of the 'injured soul' line. I see it as the girl does not want to 'tangle' (see the chorus) and ends the relationship although she is skeptic about it and feels deep guilt for it ('the harshest word I ever spoke', 'I wish i may, I wish I might not have to sleep alone tonight'). The guy still loves the girl and feels he needs her ('I need you here').

I dunno, that's how I see it.
