Isn't It a Pity (George Harrison cover) Lyrics
Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each others' hearts
Cause each other pain
How we take each others' love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Some things take so long
But how do I explain
Not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity
Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each others' hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each others' love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each others' hearts
Cause each other pain
How we take each others' love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
But how do I explain
Not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each others' hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each others' love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

'sa beautiful song.
Eric, Patty and George, their love triangle created the meaning for this song. When George recorded it, it was meant directly for Patty and Eric getting together behind and in front of George's face. Ironically, after George passed, Eric sings it for George in the tribute concert. The song means every word it states. Eric stole Patty (more or less) from George, and George recorded this song stating clearly the loss and hurt he felt from both of them, loving them both all the while as only George would. John was always seen as the Peace-nik, but George walked the walked more than any of them. We miss you George.
