The Last Stand Of Frej Lyrics
See him rise from land of flames
Destruction is at hand
It's time to make a stand
Now I face an awesome foe
I will always stand my ground
To this end my fate is bound
This fight is mine and mine alone
And there's no help from anyone
His wrath burns
With insane heat all his fury is unleashed
There is no way to defeat
The forces and the power that he wields
My hand holds the horn so firm
I am calm and ready to die
Everything around me burns
And I know that I will not survive
See him rise from land of flames
Destruction is at hand
It is time to make a stand
My death awaits, I have no fear
To this end my fate is bound
Though I'm doomed I'll stand my ground
This fight is mine and mine alone
And there's no help from anyone
I go forth to meet my doom
But I will die in vain
Perdition waits for everyone
The world will die in flames
With all my strength I run the horn
Deep into his eye
And as he swings his burning sword
I die with a tired smile
Destruction is at hand
It's time to make a stand
Now I face an awesome foe
I will always stand my ground
To this end my fate is bound
And there's no help from anyone
With insane heat all his fury is unleashed
There is no way to defeat
The forces and the power that he wields
I am calm and ready to die
Everything around me burns
And I know that I will not survive
Destruction is at hand
It is time to make a stand
My death awaits, I have no fear
To this end my fate is bound
Though I'm doomed I'll stand my ground
And there's no help from anyone
But I will die in vain
Perdition waits for everyone
The world will die in flames
Deep into his eye
And as he swings his burning sword
I die with a tired smile

This song talks about the battle of Frej (or Freyr) and the Giant Surtur during Ragnorok, in which Freyr will die at the flaming sword of Surtur and the fire that the Giant brings with him will scorch the Earth and start it anew.
If i had to guess it would be about not giving up and and fighting even if victory is impossible, even if you absolutely have no chance of wining or even tiring you opponent, you still should stand and fight and do what you can like just scratching your enemy "I run the horn Deep into his eye" also the fact that everything else is dying or dead or burning makes no difference "Everything around me burns" since you have to fight, either because,it's more honorable to die fighting, or you have to, or you can do, or just not dying without a fight also his death at the end means that, while he is dying and all it lost, he is smiling and somewhat relieved since he did all what he could and did not give the enemy the satisfaction of begging or running, he died like a boss all that of course is in a metaphorical sense like if someone you love has cancer and he/she is dying, you just don't give up, you try and try, and even if there is no cure or hope. you will do all you can to make him/her death less painful and anything else you can do to cheer him/her, or the like. or if you are fighting and invading army that is 100 times stronger, you still fight and do what you can or anything like that
As has been mentioned the song tales the story of the battle between Frej and surtur. I do not however think the moral of the story is to always fight no matter the odds. To me the "fate of frej" perfectly represents part of the Norse belief one of the few things that is predetermined is your death and frej goes into the battle knowing for sure he is going to perish for such has been foretold. However he will fulfill his fate even if it is in vain. This also explains, atleast partly, why Frej was such a revered deity, this and the fact that he was also a god of fertility
