The Wheels

Another empty page and
I wonder what to lay upon it.
Maybe an apology, a declaration of remorse.
The weight of the words is subjective
but I've only so many lines
until the rhymes of the next song begin.
Will this one mean anything by then?
Perhaps it's just the pattern of life,
we mind the matter and not the meaning.
It's not always gleaming so don't avert your eyes
in fear of going blind.
Luminosity is more subtle than you'd think,
and your intentions are more important than anything.
All is fleeting and I can't wait for this page to burn.
The smoke will turn the wheels the way
the wind moves you to the place you've earned.
You'll have nothing once you're there
but the songs once in the air will replay in your head.
You'll repeat the mantra with more intent.
Would you believe that you have everything you need?
Dig it.
This can't just be the pattern of life,
