You Need Better Lyrics

I won't lie
I was thinking of your hands tonight
The flowers that you grew
The stories that you gave to me

They said, "Don't waste your love, you know you need better,"
I said, "Don't waste your words, you know I know better"

I've been cold
You were dancing in my inner thoughts
Victories you came to
Misfortune of it all

They said, "Don't waste your love, you know you need better,"
I said, "Don't waste your words, you know I know better"

Don't waste your love, you know you need better...
Don't waste your love, you know you need better...
Don't waste your love, you know you need better...
Don't waste your love, you know you need better...
Don't waste your love, you know you need better...

Thanks for posting this song up, its one of my all time favorites by a much under appreciated band. They should be massive. I've had this song on nearly all my playlists. To me this song is about regret and remembering some of the happiness from a previous partner that you had together even when you thought you wouldn't thought that you feel any regret from it. Like an amicable breakup but something suddenly reminds you of that person and there is a sudden sadness that maybe things could have worked out differently or that you wish they had even though you knew it never have worked out in the long run. You realize that that relationship was really true love which you knew it was and in real life, love doesn't always work out for whatever reasons. Now its too late and all that is left are memories and words. Anyway that's my interpretation of it and I could be completely wrong but this song is just beautiful. It gives me that feeling of coming out of the snow and warming up near a fire.
