Great lyrics. The lyrics by the lover speaks are always good but this is such a masterpiece. Anyway after reading "fragments of a lover discourse" I realized how that is important to understand in a complete way the words.
The guy hears her voice- even though she isn\'t there. She is simply in his memory. If she just moved a little closer, maybe he would understand her better. A garrison means a group of troops so I imagine they\'re either there to come for him but he is so focused on her; he waits. He wants her so bad and tries his hardest to stay focused. Loneliness has embraced him and he knows it but he still waits for her and desires her.
