Coming Down Lyrics
The shell that I wore, it wasn’t for fun.
It wasn’t to make you stick around.
It was for survival, it was what I’ve learnt,
It was for the sun.
You said you think I’d might be the one.
I'll pick blossoms and make you a crown.
You can’t catch what’s coming down.
Our love has grown; our love has flown.
I can catch the falling stars.
They make the darkness brighter
Even though they burn holes in my hands.
I can dive into the water, so deep, I can’t breathe;
'Cause, there, I feel things you won't understand.
It wasn’t to make you stick around.
It was for survival, it was what I’ve learnt,
It was for the sun.
I'll pick blossoms and make you a crown.
You can’t catch what’s coming down.
Our love has grown; our love has flown.
They make the darkness brighter
Even though they burn holes in my hands.
I can dive into the water, so deep, I can’t breathe;
'Cause, there, I feel things you won't understand.

This song is so beautiful. It's about needing someone, despite what they think are your motives.
The song to me, is about a couple who started out with much passion, the girlfriend appreciated all the good moments together and for that, she put the boyfriend on a pedestal making him the owner of her love.
However, the relationship is now dying, she feels like there is no longer a connection with her boyfriend. Picking up the pieces helps temporarily until things go sour again.
Her relationship is compared to the feeling of drowning obviously. When you drown in a deep body of water, the farther you go down, the darker it gets.
