seems to me about a relationship ending..
the relationship is being put into question if it's a healthy one "this ship is going under" maybe it's a realtionSHIP then realization of an ending realtionship
Hmm. It's all too easy to point to an ending relationship as a possible meaning of this song. There are some elements of the song that show breaking up, but the second part of the song seems he is accepting his death. I can see that the singer is on a sinking ship...obviously. But the singer is accepting his death, yet at the same time he is looking forward to the future, whatever that may be.
