Feet and Bones Lyrics
Hired guns surround my town
Hired feet and bones
Tried to burn us to the ground
and build up brand new homes
All lined up to carry me
To hell just like before
Winter seems so far away
Like tragedy and war
Justice waits for nothing, man
Your eyes have turned to stone
I waited as long as I can
And then set out alone
And all those boys from Harlan came
And they don't mess around
The whistle woke me up at dawn
Such an awful sound
I can't stand to read the news
Of Jericho and swine
Touring bands and roofing crews
Is where we spend our time
Liars die and poor men grow
So tired of left and right
Careful not to say too much
Or look straight at the light
Hired feet and bones
Tried to burn us to the ground
and build up brand new homes
All lined up to carry me
To hell just like before
Winter seems so far away
Like tragedy and war
Your eyes have turned to stone
I waited as long as I can
And then set out alone
And all those boys from Harlan came
And they don't mess around
The whistle woke me up at dawn
Such an awful sound
Of Jericho and swine
Touring bands and roofing crews
Is where we spend our time
Liars die and poor men grow
So tired of left and right
Careful not to say too much
Or look straight at the light

"All those boys from [Harlan] came" Harlan County, Kentucky
"Lie [in the] sty the poor man grows" sty as in pigsty I think
Good job tho. Couldn't find these lyrics anywhere.
I know that "lie and sty the poor man grows" isn't right. But I listened to this song about 5 times and couldn't make it out. If you have better ears than me, please let me know.
I fixed those lines, I've got an ear for the ages. Liars die and poor men grow,
