I feel like this song is about a relationship that both of the people went into, knowing it most likely wouldn't work out. It seems like there are a lot of blurred lines, but they do not know how to give it up.
This is an interview with Alex Gaskarth about this song, so this is legitimately what it's about. [All Time Low’s new single is ‘Time Bomb.’ What’s the story behind that song? The song is about two people torn apart by their own infatuation with one another. It’s one of those things I think a lot of people have felt, that kind of relationship where everything is so strong, but the relationship itself becomes volatile. It’s about the struggle to hold a relationship like that together, and the fight and the desire to make it work.]

Whoaaaaa, I saw them tonight aswell! At the O2 Academy in Brum. That's maddd. I'm not from Birmingham though, I'm from London and go to uni in Coventry. They put on a great show. But thanks to the longarse queue, I missed Young Guns :( well gutted.

I seen the last few songs from young guns... havent really listened to them before but they were really good. Young guns and yellow card were good but all time low were just incredible.

"We should know that I love you; won't let you go"? lol no, that's not the right lyrics. Alex is clearly saying, "We should know better, but we won't let go."

I love this song. It's lovely, and so catchy.
I think this song has two possible meanings:
1) It could be about a lover, one that you've had since the very beginning, I don't know, but, I think the second meaning is much more likely.
2) It's about Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat's friendship, and the progression of the band. It's lines like "If I had to pull you out of the wreckage, you know I'm never gonna let you go" which are really meaningful. The "two kids" will be Alex and Jack, as they've been best friends since they were kids. But also "Span out of control"/"We were always destined to explode"/"There's no way out of this so let's stay in" is evidently the success of the band. "When it breaks, we fix it" will be when the band go through troubles, but they see them through.
So I absolutely love this song. This is why I love All Time Low. They are honest to a fault when it comes to lyrics. Such a lovely, beautiful song :)
to me, this song is about a relationship that keeps messing up and they couple keep breaking up and getting back together but they wouldn't want it with anyone else or they can't stop doing it no matter how much it hurts. I agree with nikki24 on this one, but paperprincess' #2 seems pretty plausible as well.
On a side note, I love the line "And if I had to pull you out of the wreckage you know I'm never gonna let you let me go". Fantastic.

I love this song :D but am I the only person on the planet who thinks its "like a bullet shooting elastic"? It totally sounds like that. Thats what I thought it was the first time I heard it. Plus, doesnt it make more sense? Because if you shoot elastic, there IS only one way down that road, and that is the bullet bouncing back and killing you. Feel free to correct me, though <3 ATL
