Love this song. It's one of my favorites off their album. I think it's talking about loving and waiting until you meet the love of your life- your soul mate. I think it's a beautifully simple song.

This song, to me, is about wanting to fall in love, and in turn, waiting for that special someone to finally come along. The Civil Wars make such amazing music, I can't wait for their next album!

I love this song so much. I really connect to this song, as a single person who may or may not have ever been on a date :/ This really describes the feeling of waiting fot the one who you are meant to be with. It is definitely a hopelessly romantic song, which I love. I love the fact that the phrase "I miss you" is used because that is how it feels. Like you are already in love with them, but you just need to meet them.

Simple song, and it is so beautifully performed. I do so much love The Civil Wars. I remember how it felt before I met my partner. This song reminds me of such loneliness and the happiness that comes after.

Oh I love this song! As weird as it may be I adore it as a breakup song. When you realize that final person is still out there, and that you still have another love story waiting to happen. During those times you get impatient for thhat person.

This song is about a love that hasn't yet shown themselves. "Dear whoever you might be," as in I don't know you, but I know you are out there. "I missed you, but I haven't met you," meaning the same thing: I know what I'm missing, in terms of love, and I know that person is out there for me. "The way your hand feels round my waist the way you laugh the way your kisses taste," is saying that I know our love will be perfect, I can almost feel even the littlest parts of this relationship I have coming, whenever, with whomever. Beautifully written song with plenty of hope.
