Mine Is Yours Lyrics
Woah
Woah
Woah
Woah
You were changing colors like the leaves in fall
I was savin' up for the long winter
Summers went high out of my car
When they broke down, we didn’t care
We'll figure out another way to get me there
Mine is Yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
The realistic love runs out of room
I try to talk back but my mouth move
'Cause I don’t own the sun, I don’t own the moon
They only come out when they want to
They don’t care whether I promise you
They only come out when they want to
They don’t care whether I promise
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
You wanna fight about it
You wanna fight about it
You wanna fight about it
Come on, come on
I made you cry about it
I made you cry about it
I made you cry about it
Come on, Come on
But there was no other way
To let you in here to stay
We had to give it away
Come on, come on
And we’ll be commin' for it
And we’ll be commin' for it
And when we come up
Now we'll know
All my stones become your pearls
All of my trials are your treasures
All my debt, you inherit
All my clumsy lines will shine
'Cause mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours
What is mine is yours, is yours, is yours
Whoa

I agree with what jbee said. Building on it a bit, I think this is a relationship moving past those 'dream' stages of the beginning where you're making out in the car all summer and dealing and helping each other with real problems.
"Realistic love runs out of room." There comes a point where realism has to replace idealism in a relationship. He can promise the sun and moon to her, but he doesn't own them, they come out when they want to. Idealism can get in the way of realistic love so that it runs out of room.
The last verse is piercing honesty. This song is a very mature definition of love.
Just made some corrections. (:

this song seems to be about falling in love and how when you do both people's belongings (and baggage) become each other's. pretty much the whole thing is just providing examples of that.
I think the line is "Summers we'd hide out in my car" as opposed to "Summer were high out in my car"
I also think another line is "I try to talk big but my mouth don't move" instead of "I try to talk back put my mouth don't move"
I also think another line is "I try to talk big but my mouth don't move" instead of "I try to talk back put my mouth don't move"
