Faceless Lyrics

A voice screaming from within
Begging just to feel again
Can't find who I am without you near me
I'd give anything to live
Cause without you I don't exist
Your the only one who saves me from myself
I abandoned this love and laid it to rest
And now I'm one of the forgotten

I'm not, I'm not myself
Feel like I'm someone else
Fallen and faceless
So hollow, hollow inside
A part of me is dead
Need you to live again
Can you replace this
I'm hollow, hollow and faceless

Faceless!

Shadows growing in my mind
Ones I just can't leave behind
I'm not strong enough to pay this ransom
One more monster crawled inside
But I swear I saw it die
Can you save me from the nothing I've become
I abandoned this love and laid it to rest
And now I'm one of the forgotten

I'm not, I'm not myself
Feel like I'm someone else
Fallen and faceless
So hollow, hollow inside
A part of me is dead
Need you to live again
Can you replace this
I'm hollow, hollow and faceless

I'm faceless
I'm hollow and faceless

We are the faceless
We are the nameless
We are the hopeless
Until we have faces

I'm not, I'm not myself
Feel like I'm someone else
Fallen and faceless
So hollow, hollow inside
A part of me is dead
Need you to live again
Can you replace this
I'm hollow, hollow and faceless

Faceless

i agree with Prayer608. however i also feel like its about someone who goes through something like depression and doesnt know what to feel, who they are, or even why they are here. when u feel this way who would u go to for help?? i only speak from experience, and the lyrics of this song (which is AWESOME!!!).

I think the songs about needing God, because without Him, you are "faceless": no identity of your own

Such a good song!

just got this song today and i'm listening to it on repeat. cd's going to be fantastic. i think this song is definitely about losing someone and needing them to keep living the same way they used to. they feel wrong, or faceless, without this person that they once had and they need them to survive.

In the chorus, it's 'fallen and faceless' instead of 'rotten and faceless'.

I agree with swallow. The constant need for someone, and for them to be there gives you the reassurance you need to have a "face". And when they're gone, you have no meaning. No "face".

This new song is HUGE! Def Rocks. I agree with the two above and can def relate to the lyrics! Pumped for the new album next month! Can't Wait!

I think this is one of the best songs Red has put out so far, very powerful, it gave me chills the first time I heard it! I will agree to disagree with the comments before me though on meaning. Red is a Christian band and they are not speaking of losing a generic "someone", they are talking about the need for Jesus! "A part of me is dead, need You to live again", "I'm not strong enough to pay this ransom", "Without You I don't exist", "You're the only one who saves me from myself", those...

I think this song is about how we abandoned God's love and fell into sin and no longer have faces(Adam and Eve). It's kind of asking God for help to live again from our fallen, faceless state and Gods answer was Jesus dieing on the cross to forgive us for our sins. Cause without you I don't exist shows what we are without God and how we need him to replace/redeem us from our sins.

I love this band, but this is the saddest song. It's either about feeling cut off from God (been there) or it's about feeling needy...needing someone else to make us whole. And that's an impossible feat. No one is hollow and faceless, but often we feel that way due to circumstances both in and not in our control.

To add something a little different to the conversation, I think this song and even the name of the CD are at least somewhat referring to the C.S. Lewis classic "Til We Have Faces".

This song makes me think of the Winter Soldier...
