There's a somewhat detailed discussion of the Latin in this song at http://latindiscussion.com/forum/latin/song-diem-ex-dei.9184/ The consensus seems to be that it isn't grammatically correct, or at the very least takes a lot of liberties with the Latin (probably so it flows better when sung), so creating a strict translation probably isn't possible. User "scrabulista"'s posts in the thread give a general gist of what's being said; a very loose interpretation of the title might be "a day from God," for example.

This song is basically speak about faith, strength and empowerment by God. This is a board knowledge of it but if you are just wanting a general emotion of it, strength. I have studied French and a little bit of Latin, enough to understand the careless use of synonyms and with understanding of French can get a simple guess of how the word is used. I am working on a full translation.

This is probably the most accurate translation of this song's actually meaning. Not a literal definition but what the phrases are actually meant to say.

In the shelter of his hands, the light of the world The temples look out for the day of our God

Faith bride, faith in God Praise is sung in the language of God

The shelter of his hands, the shadow of the cross Shelter of God, Lucius the God (?)

Faith bride, faith by God Praise is sung in the language of God

The shelter of his hands, the shadow of the cross Shelter of God, Lucius the God (?)

Faith bride, faith by God Praise is sung in the language of God

Live and Hail to the King of promises Life and Hail to the King of Truth

Praise to the Great, Faith in God Praise to the Great, Faith in God

Praise Christ, Our master is (in?) God
