Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.

Respect the structure

In an interview, Joshua said this song was about his grandfather waiting to die after his grandmother passed. He also said his grandfather keeps dozens of pictures of his deceased wife all over the house, which inspired the line "Fall into your eyes." According to Josh, he's been waiting over ten years. Perhaps his grandfather's name is Julius? The story behind the song is much like my grandmother's. When her husband died, she kept pictures of him everywhere, and is still waiting for death to reunite her. She's been waiting two years so far.
