Yeah, I was thinking the same thing too. I've heard him sing it both ways live, and it is recorded as "fall", but Owen posted the lyrics exactly as they are above. So I went with that.

It is "fall of Johnny" and "fall of Golding". Also sometimes it sounds like he might be saying "burn them down" instead of "buttoned them down".
