Amazing song! Cant wait for the new album. "It was inspired by a late night voicemail I received from a disgruntled fan. I am not sure how he got my phone number, but he had a whole lot of angry thoughts to share about the choices I've made that he didn't like. I basically used that as fuel to write a song for anyone who is trying to overcome the fear of what others think about them. I think many people struggle with that every day and this song is to remind them that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to, and in order to do that you have to put other people's negativity out of your mind." -Ryan Key

Don't get me wrong, I love the new songs, especially this one, but have you heard anything off of Lights and Sounds? That album is still to this day their most solid release and lyrically superior to any songs off of any other record they have released preceding or since.

Well done it's so great to hear a song where we can say f**** off to those who are trying to screw up our lives^^ recently I sang the line "hate me all you want I'll be OK I'm half the world away" while I was next to a girl who deeply dislikes me. And since we're both French she just thought I was singing a love song and asked me to stop with it. ^^ I just replied that this song was the precise definition of all the love she inspires me...

I think this is about a girl who is breaking up with him and he thinks that what she is doing is wrong for them, all her friends (the crowd) are happy for her for breaking up with him and now he is trying to move on
