If I Rise Lyrics

Dido:
In your life, you're mad
In your car, you're sad
Oh, you're taller now I've found
Hold your fire course
Oh, you're fallen out
Go and sow your courses

A.R. Rahman:
If I rise, they are on my drive
If I believe, it's more than it is
More than it is

Dido:
If I rise, one more chance
All our dreams, more than this
Oh, you're taller now I've found
Hold your fire course
Oh, you're fallen out
Go and sow your courses

A.R. Rahman:
If I rise, they are on my drive
If I believe, it's more than it is
It's more than it is

Child Chorus:
If I thought I wanted more
Get the life more
Just one more call
Though I've never lost
Believe I don't care
Never again

A.R. Rahman and Dido:
If I rise, they are on my drive
If I believe, it's more than it is
It's more than it is

Child Chorus:
If I thought I wanted more
Get the life more
Just one more call

Dido:
If I believe, there's more than this
Any more than this

I think it's about making the most of what you have and what time you have left. Rising above any problems or things you are worrying about.

Heard this for the first time last night during 127 Hours and it's at a pretty emotional moment of the movie. Such a great movie and this went so well with the part it was played in. Dido's voice is out of this world in the song.

This song is lovely!! I agree with JakeUtd, it played during an extrememly emotional part of the film 127 Hours and in my opinion this song should have won the Oscar for "Best Original Song". Everytime I listen to this my heart breaks.

I think it is about being given another chance in life and how it is important to not take life for granted, and that there is more to life that maybe wasn't recognized before.
