Actually not really. I think it's more about someone who has really strong feelings for someone and kind of knows the other person feels the same way, but the risk of telling them how they feel and it leading to the end of their friendship isn't really worth it. So they stay friends but deep down they both know they have feelings for each other.

It's pretty simple. a girl loves this boy who is just a friend, but she wants to tell him how she feels, but she's scared she will ruin the friendship and that he won't feel the same way.
