She is on the mirror side of the worlds so when she sleeps she enters her own world but in dreams where you sleep you always forget the reality and can't tell anyone on that side about where you are and that you are imprisoned due to a spell and get help.(When she sleeps she enters her own world and when awake she is in the mirror world.) so they can't hear her cries in her own world.! She better hope and pray to God that she gets help back to her own world again. Only time will tell if she can if she will succeed before time runs out. And she will be there for a long time. If not forever. It's about this witch that has cast a spell on a girl who had the best life ever she was beautiful and had a lover and a loving family and friends the witch was jealous and angry so she cast a spell on the girl so that she would loose everything she had. Almost like snow white or Cinderella. This is what the song is really about. I would know!

according to the video i believe the singer wants her lover to stay in a bad relationship but she knows if they do not make changes and show her true self in the relationship it will not work. Great point but bad acting in video.

I think this song is from a woman singing to her dying lover who is in a coma to not leave her. She is willing to die with him if he won't go without her. While the second woman represents either death, or just the torture he is experiencing by being trapped in this quasi limbo he's in. Great song. I think this band would have been much bigger if they had debuted about 10 years later.

I feel like the song is about someone talking a lover/loved one/friend out of suicide. "If this world is wearing thin, and you're thinking of escape" referrs to the desire to die. "If you try to go alone, dont think I'll understand" is the anger that the lover/loved one/friend of the suicidal person feels. "in the silence of your room, in the darkness of your dreams" is talking about the depression and lonliness a suicidal person feels.

Depression. I’ve always felt like this song was about watching someone you love struggling with depression. I know most think because of the music video it’s about death or a coma but honestly depression can be deadly and going into can be almost like going into a coma.

the song is about the beloved husband who is sick. He needn't be in a coma, he could have any other serious permanent disease. The physical sick is a narcissist asking his wife not to leave him and dedicate her life to him. Of course, the wife is a co-narcissist and enjoys the fame and great fortune ( the good money) her sick husband provides. the wife is a weak and submissive person, although she may see things otherwise, in short she's in great denial. What proves the husband to be narcissistic is the negativity: " if the world is wearing thin.. " when your pride is on the floor , I'll make you beg for more...." The other woman, who looks like a witch, is actually the smart and beautiful woman that knows the wisdom;meaning, the sick dynamics between husband and wife. She reminds us, how it is difficult to let go of the narcissist in our life, due to their great charisma and self-charm. Therefore, she prays for the wife " to escape safely to her OWN world.... And she keeps praying till the end of the song.....
