I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (just whip it)
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (whip it real good)
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my

Hop up out the bed turn my swag on
Pay no attention to them haters because we whip 'em off
And we ain't doing nothing wrong
So don't tell me nothing, I'm just tryna have fun
So keep the party jumping, so whats up? (yeah)

And I'll be doing what to do
We turn our backs and whip our hair
And just shake 'em off, shake 'em off
Shake 'em off, shake 'em off

Don't let haters keep me off my grind
With my head up, I know I'll be fine
Keep fighting until I get there
When I'm down and I feel like giving up
I think again

I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (just whip it)
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (whip it real good)

I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (just whip it)
I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (whip it real good)

I whip my hair back and forth
I whip my hair back and forth (OK, OK, OK, OK)
I whip my hair back and forth

I'm going get more shine in a little bit
Soon as I hit the stage, applause I'm hearing it
Whether it's black stars, black cars I'm feeling it
But can't none of them whip it like I do

I, I get to that mmm yeah I go hard
When they see me pull up I whip it real hard
I whip it real hard, real hard
I whip it real hard

Don't let haters keep me off my grind
With my head up, I know I'll be fine
Keep fighting until I get there
When I'm down and I feel like giving up
I think again

To the most of your comments she'd simply whip her hair. This is the kiddie version of "Dirt Off Your Shoulders" by Jay-Z.

It's an overly positive message about not letting people opinions of you and people talking about get you down. We do what we're going to do and we just shake em off. This is a GREAT message for a 10 year old girl (she wrote the song on her own and did it in her dads studio on her own before she had a record deal) to say to her peers. It'll be okay, people getting down on you are just haters.

But as I mentioned she didn't get a deal until AFTER she made this song on her own with no training or any help. So this was her first foray into music and she was pulling a million Itunes downloads WITHOUT a record label. It wasn't until Jay-Z heard it that he decided to sign her to his label.

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
