i think this song is to hayley williams.
I saw them live this Fall and let me tell you, this song was amazing (as were all the others, of course). Stacy on the guitar? So good. Sherri's vocals? Amazing. Chauntelle's little soloish thing she does towards the end is just fabulous. Eisley never ceases to disappoint me. I cannot tell you how excited I am for the new record.

This is clearly about Hayley Williams... It's a more mature, more beautiful song in the style of Paramore's now ironic song "Misery Business"
The first thing I thought when I read the lyrics is that this is about Hayley Williams. But it could also be to anyone who was going to be with Chad after Sherri since we don't know every detail.

This is a pretty upfront song, and there is not much to decipher. Sherri was caught off guard when Chad told her that he wanted a divorce. They hadn't even been married a year. And yes, Chad left Sherri because he had feelings for Hayley, and wanted to pursue them. Anyways, this song is a very personal warning to Hayley to be careful. As the old saying goes, "If they will do it for you, they will do it to you."
Are we all forgetting that Chauntelles fiance left her for another woman that he got pregnant? I believe we are. "Can't make up his God-given mind, why don't you just go, she's waiting" I think this was written for her.
