Caregiver Lyrics
There's a ghost in my living room
In silent sets, moving through
The attic in chemicals
Dissolve in two
There's a flaw in my chemistry
The chill swells and follows me
In choirs of cold machines
And their smoking skin
These bones reside within
A crack spool of medicine
The distant hum that blooms as we run
No way to displace
In broken light
The cold grey night
A ghost still around me
Leave another ghost behind
In silent sets, moving through
The attic in chemicals
Dissolve in two
The chill swells and follows me
In choirs of cold machines
And their smoking skin
A crack spool of medicine
The distant hum that blooms as we run
No way to displace
The cold grey night
A ghost still around me

I think I've listened to this song around 100 times today. No lies.
This song is quite amazing.
I can't stop listening to this song either. Something weird stirs inside me, hold me, I am scared to feel emotion...
This is what I hear: "There's a ghost in my living room. In silent sets moving through the attic, in chemicals dissolves in two. There's a flaw in my chemistry. The chill swells and follows me in choirs of cold machines and their smoking skin. These bones reside within the crack spool of medicine. The distant hum that blooms as we run, no way to displace. In broken light the cold grey night, a ghost still around me. *Leave another ghost behind."

I agree, I think she said "Leave another ghost behind" not "Leaving all their ghosts behind"

Although the lyrics read simple, there are discrete meanings pouring out from this song. She's singing aloud the metaphors that relate to her disequilibrium: Loneliness, and perhaps the wrenching absence of a significant other once near. With the absence, she is left with herself (in her 'living' room), as well as the memories that never seem to fade quickly enough. Kudos for being a great post-break up song that one may not regret listening to.
