Lovers Lyrics
I was lost
I was losing at a terrible cost
You could make exceptions
But I'd still be involved
It wouldn't made a single difference at all
You called me out
There was never any measure of doubt
I was so confused on what the trick was about
But I am thinking that I'm into you now
There's nothing wrong with me
Can't you see it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright
Can't you see
You counted down
All the days you miss me hanging around
Trying to forget the times I couldn't be found
But I decided that I'll be with you now
There's nothing wrong with me
Can't you see it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright
Can't you see
I was losing at a terrible cost
You could make exceptions
But I'd still be involved
It wouldn't made a single difference at all
There was never any measure of doubt
I was so confused on what the trick was about
But I am thinking that I'm into you now
Can't you see it's gonna be alright
Can't you see
All the days you miss me hanging around
Trying to forget the times I couldn't be found
But I decided that I'll be with you now
Can't you see it's gonna be alright
Can't you see

This song has puzzled me everytime I listen to it. I have no idea who the characters are...only that they are in love and the love isn't really "acceptable."
Maybe, it's a prisoner singing a love song to the attorney general, or a mental institution patient singing to his ward....
reading into it a little too deeply, perhaps? i think it's just a catchy summer song about a guy who gets caught out cheating on his girlfriend and decides to change his ways.

Warmest, fuzziest song ever.
