The Waiting One

I think this song is very apparent on its meaning, a very lonely person that doesn't feel like he has anywhere to turn. He feels as though he's waited patiently for things to change, and tried to make change, but nothing works. And the pain he feels isn't noticed, and no one cares. And its come to the point, where he wont let anyone in because he doesn't want to be hurt again. Set into confusion on how to solve the riddle of reality.

Since my primary language is not english, I don't understand what this song is all about... But from what I understand I think this song is about a guys who has been betrayed by his girlfriend with his bestfriend.

A man waiting on things to turn better in his life, always plagued by his past, not knowing what to do or where to turn. It also brings up a failed relationship or strained relationship that plagues him and breaks his trust of people. He feels the world can't help him. Knowing that feeling kind of made me love this song.

From what I gather about this song, it is about the aftermath of an off and on relationship from the side that is broken up with continuously. It is also about no longer being "the waiting one" of said relationship (the one that waits for their former partner to come back and ultimately use them until they find another lover, get bored, etc.)

"How did you think I would feel Throw me aside again How did you think I would feel I won't let you hurt me again"

This verse speaks to the above statement as do many of the lines.

I've been through this. It's basically about a guy who's been betrayed by his girlfriend twice and she was his closest friend. His everything, if you will. And he's waiting for her to change but he knows he will only get hurt again

This song is amazing and I believe self explanatory. No matter how much you care and miss her it will not change that she doesn't care about you. countless times you are the one left waiting and hurt. I know exactly how it goes and I just had it happen again to me. I wish this wasn't one of their softest songs. I truly wish it was one of their hardest. I fully understand the hurt behind how he does it but behind the pain is pure anger. ATR can do it all from the vocals down low to the top. soft instrumental to all out tear your face off! and have to give it up for the AMAZING drummer.
