A Little Bit More Lyrics
If I had to make a list of every reason
Not to keep on keepin' on,
Number 2 would be the pencil I have to find:
Ticonderoga, ten feet long.
And number twenty-two thousand three-hundred and eight
Would be my overwhelming urge to hyperbolate,
But sadly, most of all, at the top of my list,
Would be the fear of commitment in my penman's fist.
It feels like fifteen elephants sittin' on my chest,
Thirty-six vultures pickin' at my flesh.
So, man-overboard without a lifevest;
Now I'm a little weighed down, but I'm doin' my best.
I just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit more, a little bit more tonight.
I just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit - I just need a little bit more time.
I just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit more, a little bit more - come here!
I just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit more, a little bit more tonight.
I've got this nagging bill collector;
He calls me every thirty days,
Says he plans to serve me papers
And take what hasn't already gone up in flames.
That fire's still burning fast and hard.
It's too hot in here to think,
And the only hose aimed to save this house
Pulls out from its kitchen sink.
It feels like fifteen elephants sittin' on my chest,
Thirty-six vultures pickin' at my flesh.
So, man-overboard without a lifevest;
Yeah, I'm a little weighed down, but I'm doin' my best.
Trust in what we started...
We can get this right.
Just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit more, a little bit more tonight.
Just want a little bit more, a little bit more,
A little bit - I just need a little bit more time.
I just want a little bit more, a little bit more,

i love this song SO MUCH. the "COME HERE!" gets me every time. love it. alsjhdfasd
Hahah, I love the "come here" part too. Also, why does he seem to always want just "a little bit" of something (colorful language & this song)? Ben needs to indulge more often.
if i didn't think he'd die from blushing (so adorable how shy he can get in person when he's so passionate and sensual and intense on stage), i'd gather the courage to tell ben how sexy he is! ;D
"And number twenty-two thousand three-hundred and eight would be my overwhelming urge to hyperbolate" One of the cleverest lines I've ever heard, You, Me, And Everyone We Know is awesome!
I'm pretty sure the end of the pre-chorus is "I'm a little weighed down, but I'm doing my best."
i think you're right. thanks!
i think you're right. thanks!
According to the liner notes, it's "So, man overboard without a lifevest"
thanks! i'm changing it. i'm still waiting on my copy to come in the mail, so i appreciate the help. :]

Can someone explain the Ticonderoga thing to me?
it's a company that makes pencils. if you listen to a lot of ymaewk, you might notice that ben is... how should i put this? wary of making solid commitments. he's been burned before, and pencils vs. ink are a bit of a recurring theme representing that uneasiness.
