I like the contrast between the subtlety/simplicity of the form as well as the lyrics and the complexity of the overall feeling of this song. After reading it several times, I am still not entirely sure of the meaning...but neither is the guy stuck in tin. He (allegedly) knows what he wants-"to know what IT feels like...to go out and have a life" but once he gets the feature needed to experience it, he doesn't know what to do. He's a newb haha. And there's also the question of what IT is. I'll leave that up to someone else to decipher.

My favorite part is that in the beginning he wants a piece of someone else's heart, wants to tear it out of their chest (ah!). But later he acquires his own heart, a brand new heart. Having a piece of someone else's heart would allow him to create his life and experiences through them and avoid having to struggle to learn things on his own-by himself. But his life would be too wrapped up and connected to another's for his liking, so he gets his very own brand new heart!
