I wonder if it's about killing yourself and meeting someone in the next life...

I believe this song is about someone who has lost someone dear to them, by him saying lying here you running thru my head, like having memories of them. Just my opinion.

Amazing song.

When I'm listening to this song I imagine some pictures of mind. I truly believe that this is like you're waking up early, it is morning, you're lying on your bed awake, but you realize that you're alone - when your best friend has gone. You realize that life is like paper sheet, can be torn so easy and so fast... We can't trust that it's so fast... You think "No, I can't go home all alone again" - that's like - "Now I don't want to live this life". You're living day by day, dejected, why the hell it has happened? ("Distance has come..." This distance is called death...) But you still remember, you know, and you assure your dead friend that you'll meet him soon again ("But I'll see you soon my friend"). "Eyes, I recognize, taking me back, familiar to me from some other time" - You remind your friend, you remind your time spent together. ("And I'm coming back my friend") Coming back... you know you'll gonna die someday, you want to this, you can't live without these beloved ones... that's so fuckin' sad... All of us can't imagine how to live without their loved ones... we are angry on them, doing bad things, but we still love them and can't imagine world without them. "Until then" finally you make yourself up, you know you're gonna meet your friend someday, you must live until it happens. So you live, and trying to forget. This song really dejecting and sad one... My eye is moist because of upcoming tears, It's hard and really sorrowful... unbelievable to live with that burden of grief.

This to me comes off like survivor's guilt. Maybe coming home from war without your best friend and wondering if you could have done things different and they would have lived. And living these thoughts every day while trying to go back to your old life.

I always gotten the feeling as if he is speaking to himself... lost wandering a lonely path in his own mind, searching for his soul... a purpose in his life. So, he written a 'letter', the song, so in the future he can look back once he's found his peace and realize when he gets down to recognize those feelings, using his own learning experiences as a guide to get himself out of that rut.

Lorenzo108. I think you hit the nail on the head. Well spoken. I know a guy like this I had dated someone much older. It’s very painful for me to read these lyrics because I see a lot of him. He has done some pretty bad things to his wife who only loved him more than life her entire life and she went a little crazy when he did something terrible to her, like Felicia and it wasn’t even that bad what she did in my mind after my parents found out what happened it wasn’t really that bad but he made it that bad and made it sound that bad. But I think he’s extremely depressed inside but he hides it well fact he does an extremely good job of hiding it no one would ever know. His pride is eating him alive he will never admit what he did was wrong and his family is a mess and it’s a very very sad and terrible situation and he won’t seem to go back home and his family and that turns me off terribly more importantly I know he still loves his wife and he will deny it till his blue in the face but I can feel it and see it in his eyes and he is absolutely miserable. He’s getting used to being without her he’s with others namely me until recently, but I’m not in love with him but I thought I was but I’m not. He’s running from the situation and what he’s done because he’s a constant philander. This so much reminds me of him because I don’t think he can be alone not for a minute. He came pretty much obsessed with me I’m half his age. It became kind of weird. I pray and hope that he goes and resolve the situation with his family because that is where he belongs I can feel it and I know it. They were together for pretty much the entire lives and they are both miserable from what I understand I know he is and it’s not because of me I was a scapegoat. I’m young and attractive anything said he loves me and that is not the case he is obsessed with me that is not love what he had with his wife that is love because he’s getting used to not being with her he thinks he doesn’t love her but that is not the case he’s twice my age but he has a lot more to learn in that regard. He’s a sad sad man with a lot of depression that he is not willing to admit.

I don’t think his life‘s ever going to be right until he makes it right with his family at this point. What he did to her was shocking. I would be depressed to.

I believe everyone interprets songs differently because even not consciously doing it we all have a tendency to interpret lyrics by what event in our life that we can relate it to based on what emotions and memories it creates. My take on it is that he lost someone he loved very deeply and he is lost without them.. Like he does what he has to in order to get through the day. And where he says "Eyes, I recognize Taking me back" he is talking about when he looks in his eyes he recognizes the person but no longer feels like that person and the only way to be that person again is going to be from being with the loved one again and until then he just has to get through life the best he can and find himself again.. "The memory stays, until we can breathe as one again And I'm coming back my friend And then I'll sing you my song" He is telling the loved one that he has those memories forever and will cherish them.. That he may have to move on with his life because he can't handle being alone anymore and living in those memories. but no matter they will return to what was and the loved one who passed will not be far from mind or forgotten in his doing so.. And "I will sing you my song" That song being his journey through life after losing them..
