This song will forever be burned in my brain from the movie Blizzard of Ahhhhhhs. In 1989 I am skiing at Taos in knee deep powder in the Kachina bowel with this song playing in my head. Simply amazing.
Very hard to say if the meaning in the lyrics is a critique of or a belief in a value. Is it the value of navel gazing or high mindedness? Does it say we are turned away from the world around us or are we above it?
