Cool song! I think it's about how things that you don't want to think about come at night. As long as it's daytime you are safe and the right person can also help chase off the bad things.
i love the jazzy feel of this song, i wish more of the new songs were like it. but nonetheless this album is amazing.
This is somewhat my interpretation of the song. I think she means "I thought you said things would be different, but things are still cold in you. Your still acting sad and lonely, when you have me. You make me feel NOT ALONE. I'm getting tired of wondering what's wrong and you just lying about what's really going on. Don't leave me because i don't understand you. I can't stand to see you like this, it makes me sad. Look at the brighter side of life." wow. that was long.
This song screams to me. It's almost been a year since I was diagnosed positive for HIV. All this last year I've done everything in God's name to avoid the reality of it. I've gone to the doctor's enough to know that I'm healthy, but thinking of going makes my chest sink everytime. I've been in an on-and-off relationship with a guy who's positive as well, and he's definitely been a crutch for me. I can't imagine how I would handle things without him being there. In the case of the song, he's been my sky. This may be a stretch for some, but this song spoke to me when I heard it and it's been a release for me when I'm feeling alone.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Its differently centered about finding someone who isn't necessarilly right for you but makes you feel after however long you've been alone. So he may not be reliable but she pleads with him to stay just for comforts sake; even if that means being lied to or not being all there. Sad but it happens. :/
