Sounds to me that it's 'waiting here TOnight for you to come' not all night.

Corey: "It's about sitting and waiting for someone to come, but knowing they're not going to show up, and it's also about the melancholy that comes with that."

This song is about a guy who sat in the driveway of his girlfriend, who said she was home, but wasn't late one night. As the thoughts rushed through his head of where she was, what she was really doing, how he invested all his life, emotions, and trust into her, he realized the promises that were given, every smile, every sensual experience, every word she ever spoke, was a lie. Trust was gone. You didn't save me. You crucified me at the lowest point in my life. One lie questions all your truths. No. Miracles don't happen here.

AMAZING song from the new album. It's got a touch of the recent Alice in Chains with a hint of songs like "Snuff". Anyway, pretty simple meaning that can be interpreted by a few lines. Given the situation, there's a narrator and a love interest.

"My soul keeps changing like the weather The only constant is the rain"

The narrator goes through a mix of emotions, but the only thing that still remains is the pain that the person they love(d) is gone.

And the chorus: "I'm waiting here all night for you to come But your luck just disappeared I'm wating in the dark for miracles Miracles don't happen here"

means, of course, that the narrator is hoping that by some remarkable, miraculous event that the love interest comes back to them, but it's just not gonna happen. Pretty depressing concept, especially to those who've experienced heartbreak, but a great song nonetheless.

It appears that there are many disagreements on the lyrics. I always heard it as "Waiting here tonight for you to call / But your love just disappeared." As well, I hear the lyric "I only want my promised other" to be "I only want my promised daughter." Either way, it's a fantastic song. I really like their new album.

As for what it means, I sort of agree with Theworldneedsmusic. It pretty obviously is about a breakup, how he wants her to stay. Using the lyrics I hear (which may be wrong), "Waiting here tonight for you to call / but your love just disappeared" shows that he wants here back, but she doesn't appear to love him anymore. "Waiting in the dark for miracles / but miracles don't happen here" is calling back the her calling, or her coming back in general--the "miracle" is her loving him, which, again, doesn't appear to be happening.

All in all, the lyrics are pretty incredible--I rarely see good lyrics in modern rock music, but this is fantastic.
