With the Benefit of Hindsight Lyrics
You know you've got to remind me
You know you've got to remind me
That the walls are wearing thin
My memories
Have distorted once again
And I shouldn't take any interest
I'd be wrong to even pretend
When the walls come down
You'll be tired and unprepared
You know you've yet to convince me
To leave my mind at the door
I'll leave it next to my shoes
The last place that you'll look
You know you've yet to remind me
The walls are wearing thin
My cover's been blown
Torn off in the howling wind
Well with the benefit of hindsight
I should have been better prepared
When the walls come down
All I can do is stop and stare
At least I'm right here
{i can''t quite make out all the chorus section}
You know you've got to remind me
That the walls are wearing thin
Have distorted once again
I'd be wrong to even pretend
You'll be tired and unprepared
To leave my mind at the door
The last place that you'll look
The walls are wearing thin
Torn off in the howling wind
I should have been better prepared
All I can do is stop and stare

I come up with this for the ending chorus:
I cannot predict the future events but I could use hindsight to clean up the mess You can't predict the future events but I could use foresight to know what's best
That sounds about right to me.
That sounds about right to me.
I think it is about a relationship coming to an end, only 1 person doesn't see it coming (When the walls come down, You'll be tired and unprepared). But it's like it's too much effort to deal with so he's just coasting. He thinks that she would never suspect him to leave (You know you've yet to convince me, To leave my mind at the door, I'll leave it next to my shoes, The last place that you'll look).
At the end of the song it changes, like its come out, and 'he slightly regrets the relationship ending (My cover's been blown, Torn off in the howling wind, Well with the benefit of hindsight, I should have been better prepared, When the walls come down, All I can do is stop and stare)
Well that's my .02
The beginning of the chorus is definitely:
I can not predict future events
but beyond that, it's really rough to make out the lyrics
The singers has put up such a strong wall and refused to let the person that cares about them in. The singer doesn't realize it until its too late.
