I love this song :) I think it's about a girl and guy who have both been through really hard times in their own lives, but they're always there for each other, either as friends or a couple.

Interpretation:
I think its about a boy who has been through many failed relationships and everytime one ends he turns to a girl thats always been just a friend for support but she's always loved him

This is the real meaning of this song - as told by Alejandro - 'Every Breath' is a song written by my brother Daniel, and it is about being away from the people you love most in life but knowing that they will always be there with you, either in this life or the next. The more we toured the world as a band, the more we experienced being separated from the people we loved back home, so this song began to take on a deeper meaning every time we hit the road.
