Girls With Accents Lyrics

i guess i got just what i wanted
and all i wanted was a glance
when you pass me in the hallways
on your way to your next class

i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything
i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything

guess i got just what i wanted
we're both alone at my dad's house
and now's my chance to finally kiss you
but i got drunk and i passed out

i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything
i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything

i guess i got just what i wanted
a pretty girl to live with me
and split the rent right down the middle
and all i wanna do is be

i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything
i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything
i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything
i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up, i'm fucking up everything

wow, no ideas about this one? hmm. once you get past the 24 "fuckings," it's really a nice song. i think the guy is regretting having not committed more to a certain relationship. he fucked up. kind of simple i guess, but still. nice song.

I love this song. To me it sounds to me about getting what you want and not wanting it anymore. Just like 90% of my ex boyfriends and my guy friends.

It seems to me its about little things that happen with a girl and he over thinks it immediately and finds a way to turn it into to some way that he is "Fucking up." All he wants is a glance, he gets it but doesn't try to talk. Has a chance to kiss her, but he doesn't make his move. But the last verse does seem to show indecisiveness and getting what he wants, but changing his mind.

Does anyone else hear differently than "All I want to do is be?" I can hear that sometimes, but I always thought it sounded more like "All I want to do is leave." And I feel as though that fits better too..

yeah, the last verse is definitely, "and all i wanna do is leave."
