We Dance To The Beat Lyrics
**We dance to the beat**
We dance to the beat of continents shifting under our feet.
We dance to the beat of a new better, faster breed.
We dance to the beat of radioactivity blocking the exits.
We dance to the beat of false math and unrecognized genius.
We dance to the beat of distorted knowledge passed on.
We dance to the beat of a distant rumble.
We dance to the beat. We dancing'
And it's loud and proud! (x3)
We dance to the beat.
We dance to the beat of silent mutation.
We dance to the beat of you brain not evolving fast enough.
We dance to the beat of raw talent wasted.
We dance to the beat of of bad kissers clinkin' teeth.
We dance to the beat of opportunity knocking.
We dance to the beat of eviction next door.
We dance to the beat. We dance to the beat…
Of another recycled rebellion of consolidating assets of another crowd voicing it, and their voice breaking up in static, of suburbia cracking communication of a continent.
We dance to the beat.
We dance to the beat.
We dance to the beat.
And we don't stop!
And we don't stop!
And we don't stop!
We dance to the beat. We dance to the beat.
And we don't stop!
We dance to the beat of billion charges of endorphin.
We dance to the beat of love lost and won back.
We dance to the beat of source code and conduit.
We dance to the beat of gravity giving us a break.
We dance to the beat. We dance to the beat. We dance to the beat.
We dance to the beat.
We dance to the beat.
And we don't stop!
And we don't stop!

anybody know what she says where it reads "of suburbia cracking" above? i can tell it's not "cracking", but i can't make out what it is.
When I hear this, especially because of the lyrics, she is definately pointing out that humans don't realize the bad things in life because they get too absorbed in their own happiness. They don't realize other's misfortune, atleast when they do, they quickly go back to their own lives as if nothing happened.
I think that your basic premise is right: she's pointing out that human-life is largely based upon chance and what was left to us by our ancestors ("false math" and "distorted knowledge"). Often this leads to suffering.

Still, I think that there's an empowering edge to the dancing. We're fuc*ed, but we're doing our best. Sometimes "gravity (gives) us a break." Sometimes we win love back. That's why we keep dancing.
