This song was on NCIS and it's how I heard it.. For some reason I'm thinking it's a Christmas song...
I'm thinking it's a New Year's Day song. The person that the speaker is addressing has just gotten home from a New Year's Eve party (hence the reason why she needs to go to bed in the morning). The idea of setting and meeting goals also fits in with a New Year's resolution. Great song.
