this song is definitely about the same girl in 'losing it' & in 'liar, liar.' he thought he was in love with this girl, he posted a blog about it. they'd been dating for 9 months & had sex. soon after he found out she had sex with his best friend. he also found out she made love to ten other guys while they were dating, but this song is about his best friend and her cheating.
the meaning of this song is very well obvious. the girl played him, made him think he was special and then went and cheated.

The song is kinda sad, but to me, the lyrics and the tempo seem pretty up beat right? I think that yes, this girl was important to him, but by this song, i think he's gotten over it a bit. I think he was just more suprised and shocked than sad about it, and it shows in the lyrics.
