Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
Ok, I've always been a fan of Linkin Park and I think the new album is great, but Empty Spaces has no business being listed as a complete track.
Seriously though...18 SECONDS of background noise and they consider that a full track? Would it have been so hard to just put this on the same track as When They Come For Me?
It's simply false advertising to say your album has 15 songs when it really only has 9. The other 6 tracks (40% of the album, almost half of it) consist of quotes/short instrumentals/background noise, and some of them actually work well. Jornada Del Muerto is strange and Fallout is a bit repetitive, but The Requiem, The Radiance and Wisdom, Justice and Love are all great additions that give the following songs much more depth and sophistication. HOWEVER, empty spaces is literally just 18 seconds of noise, and I don't care how good those 18 seconds may be, 18 seconds is simply does not warrant its own track.
If you've listened to all Linkin Park albums, you'd notice that this kind of stuff is in a lot of their albums. From what I think, it's a battlefield, you can hear the explosions and people shouting and what not. I think that's the most reasonable thing it's about since the album is about war and what's this world is at the moment.

IMHO I think Empty Spaces refers to the losses during war and perhaps even because of the atom bomb, since the songs before empty spaces refer to that.

The people that die during a war leave empty spaces, giving title to the song which is filled with battlefield sounds.

Add your song meanings, interpretations, facts, memories & more to the community.
It's not pointless, if you actually listen to the first songs and keep your mind open it relates within them.
So. Much. Win.
Pretty pointless song just like Foreword off of Meteora. Nice war sounds though.

those 6 tracks are 40% of album?? afaik Those 6 songs add up to 7 min.. (7/48)*100=14.5% it's simple arithmetic.

Lol, touche abhinavk. Should have said 40% of the songs. That's (6/15)*100 = 40%

Math aside, I still don't think Empty Spaces should be its own track.
