Dynamite Lyrics

I came to dance, dance, dance, dance
I hit the floor
'Cause that's my, plans, plans, plans, plans
I'm wearing all my favorite
Brands, brands, brands, brands
Give me space for both my hands, hands, hands, hands
You, you
Cause it goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes
Saying AYO
Gotta let go
I wanna celebrate and live my life
Saying AYO
Baby, let's go

'Cause we gon' rock this club
We gon' go all night
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite
Cause I told you once
Now I told you twice
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite

I came to move, move, move, move
Get out the way me and my crew, crew, crew, crew
I'm in the club so I'm gonna do, do, do, do
Just drop the phone, came here to do, do, do, do

Yeah, yeah

Cause it goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes
Saying AYO
Gotta let go
I wanna celebrate and live my life
Saying AYO
Baby, let's go

'Cause we gon' rock this club
We gon' go all night
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite
Cause I told you once
Now I told you twice
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite

I'm gonna take it all out
I'm gonna be the last one standing
I'm alone and all I
I'm gonna be the last one landing
'Cause I, I, Believe it
And I, I, I
I just want it all
I'm gonna put my hands in the air
Hands in the air
Put your hands in the air

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes
Saying AYO
Gotta let go
I wanna celebrate and live my life
Saying AYO
Baby, let's go

'Cause we gon' rock this club
We gon' go all night
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite
Cause I told you once
Now I told you twice
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite

I've been into all sorts of music throughout the years and at the moment I'm in the stage where I actually like many different genres, but mostly electronic music like dubstep, dnb, electro progressive house, acid jazz etc... For some reason, though, when I go to a mainstream and get shitfaced with my best mates, I understand why most people like songs like this (Dynamite) - it's catchy, easy to follow, it makes a person want to stand up and dance, and sing and smile and be happy in general.

Less hate, more love.

My Opinion

I think you guys are giving this song way more flak than it deserves.

Dynamite doesn't aim to be the next anthem of the oppressed youth, nor is it supposed to be some sort of deep revelatory exploratin of the human psyche. It doesn't even aim to be groundbreaking, or original, or any of those other buzzwords that some of you seem to love oh-so-much.

What Dynamite sets out to be (and indeed, succeeds in being) is an unapologetically catchy and danceable summer party song (look at when it was released as a single- May). And in my opinion, it pulls that role off with aplomb.

To BackToREalityBitch... You are clearly mentally handicapped. There is an option to specify what kind of comment you are leaving. One of the choices is "opinion" so it clearly is for sharing opinions. And using vulgarity just makes you look even more ignorant. Hmm, and isn't it contradictory that you shared no meaning to the song and just gave your opinion? If anyone should "gtfo" as you put it, it should be you for your ignorance and hatred. So please, BackToRealityBitch, please "gtfo" of my universe, you're really mucking the place up for the rest of us.

Anyway, this song is apparently describing the mood of the club scene saying that sometimes you just want to let go and dance without thinking about anything.

Now if this were written by someone with some kind of versatility in music, I would like this; however, Taio Cruz writes ONLY about unintelligent babble that inspires sheep-like activity and stupidity. Terrible artist in my opinion, the beat or rhythm aren't even fresh, they're old and recycled. He is like a call back to disco (which died for a reason) which was completely unintelligent and a waste of vinyl.

I'm not saying that he should die or anything, but maybe he should pick a job he's more suited for, such as cashier at Burger King where he can use his sweet voice and repeat mindless babble that actually might be useful. He certainly doesn't deserve the popularity he got.

Great song...so filled with energy. Love being "the last one standing" on the dance floor. Nothing is more uplifting than dancing to fun music; feeling the energy of the crowd; and laughing with friends and new acquaintances. Just luv upbeat tunes!

This song's chorus has a lot of parts that are similar to Avril Lavigne's song "Freak Out". That's got the "hands in the air" to the "let go" to the "live my life" and everything. Could easily just be chance, but I feel like the writers of the two songs at least had quite a bit of the same stuff in mind.
