Nostalgiatopia Lyrics
We could take this road to nowhere in my '89
And floor it through state lines
And we'll reach our destination whatever it might be
As long as you don’t leave
Cause I don't ever want to slow this down
Everything I've ever wanted has been found
We could drive into the future with our memories
Holding on to how things used to be
We cold throw away our cell phone and only answer calls
Coming from the stars
We could catch the drive-in movies and let the hours pass
Cause nothing perfect can last
And floor it through state lines
And we'll reach our destination whatever it might be
As long as you don’t leave
Everything I've ever wanted has been found
We could drive into the future with our memories
Holding on to how things used to be
Coming from the stars
We could catch the drive-in movies and let the hours pass
Cause nothing perfect can last

It seems to be about being satisfied with your life, in a good way... especially about your life with a certain special person. There's a wee bit of melancholy and, of course, nostalgia (hence the title), but overall, the singer takes the stance of someone who's looking back with pride and happiness, and who's not afraid to look into the future either.
Wonderful song, probably the best one from Eleventyseven's first album (along with Here With Me).
