I have a theory on the first three songs on the album. I feel they document the forming and breaking of a relationship. With "Boyfriend" we see our young sweetheart pining over a guy who she wishes "was my boyfriend". Once our heroine succeeds we see in "Crazy For You" is having the time of her life with her new man, whom she "can't do anything" without. Finally, with "The End" we see the post breakup stage, "you say that we're just friends, but I want this til the end".
