More Bacon Than the Pan Can Handle Lyrics
Fugitives on the galleons, I go:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Emperors and the salamanders:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Nuggets and the heliotropes, I go:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Party games and ocean liners:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Utility man
Porquoi
Utility man
Chocolate bar
State of grace and the ginger root, I go:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Motionless and the circumstances
more bacon than the pan can handle
Overland and the easternmost, I go:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Hoop skirts and the bubbly strangers:
more bacon than the pan can handle
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
There’s a little give to it, mmm,
there’s a little give to it
Better the devil you know.
Better the devil you know.
more bacon than the pan can handle

Most of you people on this site terribly misinterpret his lyrics, i mean there really not that open or obscure. Doughty is a descent writer but let's not give him too much credit here, if i hear the term brilliant or even genius in reference to his song writing I will have lost faith in the intelligence of my fellow humans. He is a clever and somewhat humorous writer, and this is a great example of that. This song is about the submission of a man to his woman's exotic sexual desires. Basically he's talking about being cuckolded by his woman and a black man. He is coming to terms with the situation and is realizing his powerlessness. So many clever clues in the lyrics, and finally "better the devil you know" guess he thinks it's better to watch
