love this song. very rockable and very catchy.
i think it sounds like that last line in the chorus is "But I really really need you to" which would kind of change what it's saying.
basically carolyne gives the speaker too much power ("<i>you give me authority</i>")and he knows he takes advantage of the fact that she loves him so much. ("<i>'cause i'm not worthy of your affection</i>" and <i>"i know you love me but you'd feel better if you just suck it up and kill me"</i>) he needs her to kill him because he knows he can't treat her right but he also knows that he won't stop treating her wrong unless she makes him.
That's close I think a simple wish, but when I hear it, I hear the singer switching between two states in his head. Carolyne, the woman he's in love with, and he's so infatuated by her, that it's literally killing him, and he's asking her to kill him, and release him from his torment.
