Open up wide
swallow down deep
the spoon full of sugar can make it sweet
the cancer inside
stealing my sleep
night after night it keeps haunting me
the secrets i keep are tearing me up inside i try to hide them in
i wonder why
i wonder why i'm still running when i know there's no escaping
Chorus:
Come Undone
Surrender the stronger
I don't need to be the hero tonight
you all want love
you all want honor
nobody wants to pay the asking price
(Oh oh ohhh Oh oh ohhh oh oh ohhh)
Verse 2:
Fall on my knees
fall on my pride
I'm tripping over all the times i've lied
I'm asking please
but i can see in your eyes
that you don't need tears for alibis
it's true what they say
love must be blind it's why your still standing by the sinners side
your still by my side when all i've done have left you bleeding
Chorus
(Oh oh ohhh Oh oh ohhh oh oh ohhh) x7
Ohhhhhhhh
I don't think I can drive it home tonight
Ohhhhhhh
I don't think I want to be alone tonight
Ohhhhhhh (4 times)
Chorus repeat until fade out
swallow down deep
the spoon full of sugar can make it sweet
the cancer inside
stealing my sleep
night after night it keeps haunting me
the secrets i keep are tearing me up inside i try to hide them in
i wonder why
i wonder why i'm still running when i know there's no escaping
Surrender the stronger
I don't need to be the hero tonight
you all want love
you all want honor
nobody wants to pay the asking price
fall on my pride

My interpretation of this song is that it's about coming out and admitting the truth about something you've hidden from someone for such a long time and asking for forgiveness. Even though you don't deserve it love is oblivious to these things which is why you're still standing.
"Open up wide, swallow down deep No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet" - Being prepared to open up about something and knowing that it won't be pretty.
"The cancer inside stealing my sleep Night after night it keeps haunting me" - Something about you or that you've done that you have kept secret but it still hurts you alot.
"The secrets I keep Are tearing me up inside I try to hide and then I wonder why" - Basically like above, your secrets are causing you pain and you're struggling to deal with it.
"Why I’m still running when I know there’s no escaping" - Asking yourself why you keep running and hiding from it when you know you can't escape it because it's within you.
"Come undone, surrender is stronger I don’t need to be the hero tonight" - Surrendering to the struggle and expressing it, even though it may make you seem like a bad person.
"We all want love we all want honour Nobody wants to pay the asking price" - We all want to be loved but you're scared that saying what you've done will make everyone hate you and all your honor is lost.
"Fall on my knees, fall on my pride I’m tripping over all the times I’ve lied" - Breaking down over all the times you've lied to protect yourself.
"I’m asking please, but I can see in your eyes You don’t need tears for alibis" - Asking for forgiveness but knowing you've hurt them to much for them to forgive you.
"It’s true what they say Love must be blind" - Saying it's true that love is blind.
"It’s why You’re still standing by this sinner’s side" Because love is blind to oblivious things and it makes you look past the faults and just hope it will be the same, why you're still staying with them.
"You’re still by my side when all the things I’ve done have left you bleeding" - Admitting that they're still standing with you after everything you've done too them has caused great harm.

Umm I didn't notice this till now but some of these lyrics are wrong. Here's a few of the lines that are so wrong they don't even make any sense. I don't think whoever posted them re-read them. Haha no offence though. Rofl

Its about surrendering to God. The person in the song can't stand himself anymore. "The secrets he keeps are tearing him up inside and he tries to hide them." Verse 1 pretty much says, he's always wanted to control his life, but he is unhappy with the way he is. He's "tripping over all the times he's lied", and he is realizing that he has to surrender his life to God to get rid of the guilt he's built up. He's finally come undone and is "falling on his knees." He knows that God is stonger than him and he...

I believe that the song is about someone that was hurt by someone else. "No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet The cancer inside stealing my sleep Night after night it keeps haunting me The secrets I keep Are tearing me up inside I try to hide and then I wonder why". When read from the outlook of someone that was abused in some way. One can then see that this song is a prayer to God. The cancer is the memories that only come at night when you are alone and they keep you awake. All people who are abused do not want to admit it happened but the longer you keep it a secret the more it eats one up on the inside. That is why in the cases on women sexually abused a lot of them contemplate and try suicide. "You’re still by my side when all the things I’ve done have left you bleeding". Most people that where abused in some way believe that it is their fault and blame themselves for it all. Also those abused will at some point in their life will curse and blame God, yet God remains there at our sides no matter what we do. That line can also be used towards a spouse or date. When an abused person tries to be in a relationship they will sometimes harm their partner without meaning to or take out their anger on that person. "We all want love we all want honour Nobody wants to pay the asking price" this line is so true, especially from the eyes of someone about to do something that is harder than a regular person would ever believe. Reporting the abuse what ever kind. The asking price is telling what happened and revealing to the world, friends and family that you were hurt, and the fear that they will think you are to blame and that they will look at you differently. All that any person ever wants to be loved and even more does the person abused but they think they are unworthy. If this was an essay I could probably give you 4 or more pages but since it is not I will end here.
