Ok i could be wrong but this is MY interpritaion and is up for debate.

In the morning i think hes saying he can get up and lead a regular dull life but its not when wants, he cant handle it

I'm the victim, of this day and age I've forgotten how to feel I've forgotten how to change So I surrender, to the apple of my eye I surrender to the wind, I will let the wind decide

We live in a time where we become so desensitised to our emotions. We are told how to lead regular dull life. I think he feels the need to throw everything in and just see what happens.

I could break it, I could break it till it hurts I could take whatever words you say, pretend I never heard So forgive me, shouldn't be so hard It's they way I'm put together, so your never getting past

Sometimes people comment on how things are, and tell you cant. But thats the way he is and he feels he has to be adimant in this views.

I think the friction is a routine or comitments that hold you down; Space being the oposite extreme. And he asks is this going to hold him down. Again in the morning he is saying he like that, the 'warnings', will happen again cause its who he is and wont change.

A few things I hear differently:

"I could be the early warning, but I'm not the only one" rather than 'only warning' and the 'one' is missed off of the end.

"You demand I make my mind up" not 'in'

"I could fake it, I could break it 'til it hurts" instead of break it both times

oh and "I shouldn't be so hard"

mostly just typos I think :)

Seems to me that here is a guy that is debating whether to give in to his girlfriend's pressure to make a commitment (marriage?) and would rather not think about it i.e pick from the choices he's been given. He'd rather just go with the flow and see what happens. The wider aspect of the song suggests that this is a philosophy that applies to most of his life.

Sorry for being so pedantic XD

i not so sure about the actual lyrics but i think the video has a different meaning to the song

like when irwin is drinking burning sun and he keeps messing up his lines and is all fed up and then his like im not having this lets go its saying about the struggles they had when writing the new ablum because they said that they had to scrap an albums worth of songs. also they had co writers so that could be saying that they didnt like some of the lyrics to songs and that they were just going to give it up.

then that dude comes in saying you didnt read your contract did you? your my band now. NOW PLAY MY SONG! its like when they were about to give up the boss of sony was like youve got a contract and you have to stick it out to the end of it and he's like play my song which means he's telling them to get it right the first time and come up with some good material for the album.

then irwin starts singing cautiously and the music satrts off quite simple like is this ok and the boss is nodding like yeh this is good carry on, and then the hoosiers get even more confident with the song and the music and that would represent them writing the songs and wondering will anyone like it and then people do so its a massive confidence booster so they carry on through and get it right.

thats all ive got for the video so far, i think ive got more but my brains acheing meh
