Q&A

Brianne Lyrics

You’re ashamed about
all your fears and doubts
and how I hurt you.
Can you make it back from the aftermath
And how I left you

Nobody wants to be alone,
with the fear of letting go.
If you could hear me say
It`s gonna be okay
would you be okay

And though I`ve gone away
I still see what youre going through.
It kills me everyday,
to know I killed what meant most to you.
So when you pass my grave,
leave a rose for what might have been.
But know that it`s okay
to shed your fears and find love again

For better or worse you`re the one,
I never thought I`d hurt
But looking back on these dreams
nothing is what it seems;
…know that you`ll wake up to better things

And though I`ve gone away
I still see what you`re going through.
It kills me everyday,
to know I killed what meant most to you.
So when you pass my grave,
leave a rose for what might have been.
But know that it`s okay
to shed your fears and find love again

I hear you say
I don`t know how and I don`t know why
but there will come one day
when I will tell you all the things inside.
Just know theres someone above you to help you!

And though I`ve gone away
I still see what you`re going through.
It kills me everyday,
to know I killed what meant most to you.
So when you pass my grave,
leave a rose for what might have been.
But know that it`s okay
to shed your fears and find love again

No comments. Presumably because it is obvious.

It's in the point of view of the person who killed themselves, talking to their lover/loved one. She talks about how she hurts them, and how it isn't their fault, and how they couldn't have prevented it. They're sorry for hurting the people or persons, and regret doing it. In the end they talk about letting the other person(s) move on. To shed their fears, and to find love again...I'm more swayed by the thought that its a lover, "to find love again..." but song tend to be generalized these days, and to project their meaning to as many audiences as possible. This song is truely sad, and inspired by a true happening in the eyes of Boyce Avenue.

Not much to add, Alexias pretty much has it. On the band's website, they provided the story behind the song though. It is their thought of what a friend's wife would say to her husband, after she took her own life.

Also, not to emasculate myself, but this song and their intro made me cry when I saw them live last year.

OK. Will do. Thanks for the encouragement, not that it was needed ;)
