White As Snow Lyrics

I've walked with the kings and
I've marched to the pounding drums.
Then you came.
I've walked with the kings and
I've marched to the pounding drums.
Then you came.
You asked me to change
But like a fool
I refused and walked away

It's not like You would know, would You?
You were white as snow
Still You plead, still You plead guilty

They took my crown as I hung my head
And tied the noose around my neck
They tied me up and left me for dead
Please come, cut me loose

It's not like You would know, would You?
You were white as snow
Still You plead, still You plead guilty

It's not like You would know, would You?
You were white as snow
Still You plead, still You plead guilty

It's not like You would know, would You?
You were white as snow
You were white as snow
You were white as snow

Lyric Correction

I'm going to dissect the song with the lyrics pulled up. Doing this destroys the majesty of your own interpretation.

White As Snow- Haste the Day

((I've walked with the kings and I've marched to the pounding drums Then you came))

This is admitting guilt and shame of being caught in the act of sin and the Holy Spirit showing up in your heart in the midst of fooling around with Earthly things.

((You asked me to change but like a fool I refused And walked away Oh, oh)) This is obvious. Denying the Holy Spirit working on your heart.

This song is very Deftonesish.

Here's what I think...

Jesus walked on this earth as a man and was subjected to the same temptations we are, yet he didn't sin.

I think it's about a person who can't understand how Jesus, being perfect and sinless(white as snow), could die for our sins.

its not blanketed.... its still you plead guilty. it makes more sense. you were white as snow but you still plead guilty. but it works either way but the correct lyric is plead guilty

This is what I got from it...

I've walked with the kings and I've marched to the pounding drums. Then you came. -Old Testament reference, then Jesus came.

You asked me to change But like a fool I refused and walked away -Jesus told me to repent but I couldn't turn away from my sin to follow him (rich man in Matthew 19:16-22)

It's not like You would know, would You? You were white as snow Still You plead, still You plead guilty -Jesus couldn't understand what the bondage of sin felt like because he was perfect but still died a sinners death.

They took my crown as I hung my head And tied the noose around my neck They tied me up and left me for dead Please come, cut me loose -I have finally come to the realization that my sin is going to be the death of me, Jesus come rescue me.
