Trouble Lyrics

The trouble with the trouble
Is the trouble in me
I might be mistaken
Might be forsaken
That sure could be

That seems like lust to me
I don't know what you think

The trouble is
That the trouble says
There's trouble in you

Don't let me say
That I just slipped away
That I just took the car and your keys

The trouble is
The trouble says
It's all troubling

Don't talk to me
If you're not on the leave
I'll never get to sleep

All these things
You sent my way
I've never saved a thing

Don't let me say
That I just slipped away
That I just took the car and your keys

'Cause the trouble
Is the trouble with me

Cover art for Trouble lyrics by Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions

I enjoy coming on here to see the opinions of others on songs that I listen to and open myself to new perspectives. Sadly, no one is here to do justice for this beautiful song. I hope me writing this could give a perspective to someone looking for one.

This song, though sad in nature, is shown through its romantic and sensual instrumental. I believe this is a beautiful contradication. Furthermore, this smooth rhythm is one I do not always see in songs. The only songs I have only really found it in is American Wedding by Frank Ocean or Pretty When You Cry by Lana Del Ray. To conclude, this song is unique through its sensual, relaxing instrumental. Truly, this is a classic if you are trying to get into some trouble with someone you love. Just ignore the lyrics!
